Kidney Study in progess!
We are happy to be taking part in a study to determine the degree to which we can postpone or reverse the decline in kidney function that results in the need for dialysis. We have been successful with several patients over the years in this regard and have begun a pilot study in cooperation with two nephrologists, Dr. Rob Schertz and Dr. Sylver Quevedo to determine more clearly what results to expect. The protocol calls for eight acupuncture sessions within a two month period along with microcurrent therapy that combine to support increased kidney function (microcurrent is subthreshold, so the current cant be felt).
